The Honor 8 Pro smartphone is certainly not the latest smartphone from Huawei’s sub-brand. Despite being a year old, it is certainly a feature-packed smartphone that is certainly a good buy even today. And if it’s available only at 1 Rupee, then there’s no better price. That’s right. Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is offering a Super Sale of Honor 8 Pro.
Honor is offering its mid-range Honor 8 Pro smartphone at just 1 Rupee. The smartphone in Midnight Black color with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage will be up for grabs at the phenomenally low price. As expected, this appears to be an opportunity that Honor is extending only to those who register to purchase the smartphone at the Rush-buy rate. Moreover, the company is releasing limited quantities of the device for this Super Sale.
Honor 8 Pro: Grab One at Just Rs. 1 at 11:30 PM Today
The Honor 8 Pro Super Sale will begin at 11:30 PM today on the Honor online store. Interested buyers who haven’t registered on the Honor India online store yet, need to do that first. Moreover, buyers need to be logged in before the Super Sale kicks off at 11:30 PM.
Although not mandatory, buyers could save their shipping address to shave off a few precious seconds. Once the sale starts, buyers need to be quick and click on the Buy button. Given the incredibly low price, it is quite likely that buyers will have only a few seconds before the Honor 8 Pro runs out of stock.
Incidentally, Huawei is allowing interested buyers to pre-register as well as pay the one rupee amount. The sale appears to be a lottery system rather than a flash sale that requires lightning fast reflexes. However, buyers are still advised to be present at the designated time and be ready to execute relevant action on the website. Buyers could see the “too many participants” message show up on the website when they try to buy the Honor 8 Pro. However, this message shouldn’t discourage.
Honor 8 Pro: Specifications, Features
The Honor 8 Pro was launched last year in India. The smartphone sports a 5.7-inch LTPS LCD display with 1440×2560 Quad HD or 2K resolution, and a 2.5D curved glass layer on top. The smartphone lacks a bezel-less design. But it features a metal unibody design that gives it a premium appearance. Also, the higher 2K resolution is certainly a premium feature.
Huawei’s in-house developed octa-core Kirin 960 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz, paired with a Mali G71 MP8 GPU, powers the Honor 8 Pro. The smartphone packs 6GB of RAM and an impressive 128GB of internal storage. Moreover, the storage can be expanded further up to 128GB due to a Hybrid Dual-SIM slot configuration.
For imaging, the Honor 8 Pro sports a dual rear camera setup. The camera includes a 12MP monochrome sensor with 12MP RGB sensor on the back. Apart from taking portrait shots, the Honor 8 Pro is capable of capturing videos at up to 4K Ultra HD resolution as well. On the front of the Honor 8 Pro is an 8MP snapper for talking selfies and video chats, coupled with an f/2.0 aperture. An update in May this year enabled Face Unlock.
The Honor 8 Pro includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 4G VoLTE, an IR blaster, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone packs a large 4,000mAh capacity non-removable battery. The battery supports Fast Charging. It also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Honor 8 Pro measures 157 x 77.5 x 6.97mm and weighs in at 184 grams. Launched with Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 out of the box, the smartphone currently runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 version.
Honor 8 Pro: Price and availability in India
The Honor 8 Pro is currently available on Indian eCommerce portal Flipkart as well as the Honor India online store for Rs.29,999. The smartphone comes in Navy Blue and Midnight Black color options. However, for the sale happening today, only the Midnight Black version with 6GB/182GB memory is available.
