World's first 5G smartphone present by Huawei
World’s second largest smartphone maker Huawei has been talking about its first 5G smartphone for quite sometime now. Similarly, the company has also been vocal about its foldable smartphone. Recently, the Chinese smartphone announced that it will launch its foldable smartphone early next year.
Now a new report has surfaced online suggesting that the company is not working on two new smartphones instead its first 5G phone will be a foldable device. Huawei’s Chairman Ken Hu revealed the information speaking at the World Economic Forum. Hu said that the Company's First 5G smartphone will also be its foldable device. He also added that everything is going according to the plan and the new smartphone is expected to launch by mid-2019.
Earlier, it was reported that Huawei might launch its first foldable smartphone in November this year in order to give competition to Samsung. But now it seems that the company is taking some more time to improve the device. Apart from this no other information about the specifications of the device is known right now.
Last month Huawei launched its flagship processor -- Kirin 980 at annual technology trade show IFA 2018. At the launch the company also announced that its Mate 20 series will be the first to come with this processor.
The company will be launching the Huawei Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro at an event in London on October 16. The smartphones will come with Kirin 980 and will run Android 9.0 Pei operating system out-of-the-box. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup and is said to be backed by a 4,230 mAh battery.
The smartphone is expected to come with 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. Huawei Mate 20 Pro is also rumoured to come with wireless charging support as well.
