Facebook has taken several steps this year to get rid of spam messages and online abuses on its platform. The social media giant is now taking another step in the same direction. This time, Mark Zuckerberg’s company has started testing a feature using which people can stop seeing select words, phrases or emojis in comments on their timeline.

The new feature aims to tackle not just online abuse to a great extent, but also help stop online bullying.
The social media website was spotted testing this feature by one of the users named Jane Manchun Wong. Wong even posted the screenshot showing the feature, on Twitter yesterday (November 27). The image clearly shows the post with comments and two dialogue boxes on the right side asking her to ban certain words or people from the timeline.
