Google Discover panel on the Pixel Launcher gets a dark theme

Google new Discover

The Google app seems to be constantly changing and evolving. Back in September, Google announced a slew of big changes, one of which was the rebranding of Google Feed to “Discover.” It got a refreshed look and some new features, but the rollout has been slow. We’re finally seeing a wider rollout and a better dark theme on the Pixel Launcher.
For a while, the Pixel Launcher had a dark theme, but it was implemented in an annoying way. You could only enable the dark theme (which changes the app drawer, notification shade, and other small things) by using a dark-colored wallpaper. Thankfully, Google made it possible to manually toggle the dark theme on, and now it carries over to the Discover panel.
The Discover panel is found on the left screen of the Pixel Launcher (it can be disabled/enabled in Settings). Previously, the dark theme would only change the background of the Discover panel, while the cards remained bright white. As you can see in the screenshots below, the new dark theme looks much better. The whole UI has been themed.
